Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, February 10 at 10 AM in New South Main. The Contemporary and Hip Hop learning workshops will be held Wednesday, February 7 from 9:30-11:30 PM in the Murphy Studio and Thursday, February 8 from 9-11 PM in the New South Main studio respectively.

Pre-registration ensures that you will receive information about the audition process and videos of the learning workshops before the audition date.
What is the BodyHype audition process like?
Learning Workshops (2/7 and 2/8):
After a full-group warmup, company members introduce and demonstrate the audition combination. We encourage auditionees to choose whatever workshop feels most comfortable for them—both contemporary and hip hop / open style will incorporate movement across many styles!
Choreographers teach their combination with ample time for clarification and extra help. At the end of the session, auditionees will perform the combination with the choreographer and company members. Auditionees will receive a video of the combination after the workshop so that they can rehearse as they wish before Saturday’s auditions.
Auditionees will not be evaluated on performance in the workshop—the learning space is an opportunity to try out choreography in a low-stakes environment. Come ready to ask questions, meet the company, and have fun!
Company Audition (2/10):
Our Artistic Directing team will lead a group warm-up. Choreographers will reintroduce their combinations and demonstrate for the group. Auditionees will then split up for a quick review session with the choreographers so you can ask any final questions! Upon return, auditionees will perform the combinations in small groups, separated by style.
Attending one of the learning workshops and the audition date is required for auditions. However, attending a learning workshop does not mean you are required to audition. If you have a immovable conflict with these times but still want to audition, please reach out to Victoria Koretsky, our president, at vkoretsky@princeton.edu.
